It is set to be a very busy year in 2016 for the airline Flybe.

The airline have announced that they will increase the frequency of their most popular routes from Belfast City Airport next year. They will offer five daily flights to Liverpool, six flights per day to Edinburgh and Glasgow and a new daily service to Inverness and the city of Aberdeen with two flights each day.

There will also be three daily flights offered to Southampton which will offer easy access to Southern England and as a connection for cruise travellers.

Flybe is the largest operator at George Best Belfast City Airport and tickets went on sale over a week ago for the 2016 summer routes and are already selling well.

Their expanded summer schedule features 15 routes with up to 622 flights a week to UK destinations. It also features the return of weekly holiday flights to Newquay and seven rotations per day to the airline’s Manchester hub, which offers connectivity to destinations such as Rotterdam.
