One of Belfast’s most unassuming hotels, Tara Lodge, based in side street off Botanic Avenue has won a Traveller’s Choice Award from Tripadvisor. This means they are now in the Top 25 places to stay in the UK winning the 19th place.

The hotel also made the top 25 list in 2013 and has won a host of other awards over the last few years, including being named Northern Ireland’s top bed and breakfast establishment which is an honour it has retained since 2007. Some may question the location of the hotel as the Botanic area can be considered by some as “Student City” however the hotel is surrounded by bars and restaurants as well as being a ten minute walk away from the city centre. And if visitors were to walk the opposite direction to the city centre, they would find tourist attractions such a the beloved Botanic Gardens, Queens University and the Ulster Museum.

Tara Lodge was established in 1999 and is owned by Conor O’Donnell. Rooms in the four-star establishment are priced at between £60 and £100 a night.
