This weekend sees the launch of the Belfast Mela 2016 in Botanic Gardens!

As it is the tenth anniversary of this great event, ArtsEkta, Northern Ireland’s leading ethnic arts organisation who run the event are celebrating with a special opening night tomorrow night (27th August) from 6pm to 9pm with the main Mela celebration on the 28th August running from 12 noon to 6pm.

The event is perfect for the bank holiday weekend. Over 30,000 visitors are expected to attend and will be treated to sights, sounds and smells of the world. This year’s Mela will be jam packed with a variety of music, dance, food, fashion,street theatre, circus and carnival from across the globe. The wide range of cultures mixed with the high energy will make an exciting and  vibrant day out for all the family.

With the lovely weather we have been experiencing lately, let’s hope it stays for this fantastic event.
