If the thought of travelling on a long haul transatlantic flight makes you feel tense then if you are travelling from Dublin and are a business class traveller or a airline club card member, you are in luck!
Dublin Airport launched their new passenger lounge, 51st & Green, which has been named to portray the connection between Ireland and the United States. The lounge can be accessed after you pass through US pre-clearance in Terminal 2. The lounge is open to business class passengers and airline club card holders with Aer Lingus, Delta, United and American Airlines.
51st & Green is accessed through an entrance corridor over terrazzo tiles spaced with bronze strips, sloping to a bright open space with spectacular views of the airfield with enough seating for 180 passengers.
As well as facilities to eat and drink, 51st and Green offers a concierge service, luxury shower rooms, an entertainment area, a private area for Platinum Service customers, printing facilities, charging outlets for multiple devices and free wifi which will be music to those travelling for business.
51st & Green will give Dublin Airport a competitive advantage as a connecting hub at a time when the US Department of Homeland Security is thinking about expansion of pre-clearance facilities at some airports in the UK including Manchester and Heathrow.
